Ok, I’ll be honest with you- this was my least favourite of the three toasts, but my mum LOVED it. I believe her exacts words were “it’s perfect if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth with something healthy”. So I suppose it’s a good start! And I must say, I did enjoy it, and found the chocolate Greek yoghurt so full-bodied and flavoursome!
Makes enough for 2 toasts
1/2 cup set Greek yoghurt
1/2 tbsp unsweetened (100%) cocao powder
25g grated 70% dark chocolate
1 medium orange, zest and flesh
(optional) 1/2 tbsp icing sugar
2 slices bread, toasted
- Mix gently all ingredients, apart from the orange flesh, in a bowl. You can add more cocao powder if you wish, just be careful as the 100% cocao powders can be very strong in flavour and bitter
- Slice the orange
- Top each toast with half the yoghurt mix, and finish with sliced orange and grated dark chocolate (optional)
For best results, DEVOUR IMMEDIATELY! (best way to avoid a soggy bottom….. noone likes a soggy bottom 😉 ).
